A tidier space to work in
The strip above where you type has gone from three stacked bars to one, and the buttons that were sitting there permanently have moved to where they are actually useful.
Above the box where you type there were three separate bars: a row of buttons, a task list, and a summary of what had changed. Each had its own outline and its own gap, and together they took up a surprising amount of room for what they said. The task list and the list of changes are now two halves of a single panel with a line between them, and both sit closer to their text.
The row of buttons is gone. One of them only repeated the count of changed files already shown right below it, so it has been removed outright. Opening a terminal and running a saved task have moved down to the bar along the bottom, next to your branch name — they are always available and have nothing to do with whatever the agent is doing right now, so they no longer sit in the middle of the screen.
Committing has moved the other way, up beside Keep and Undo on the list of changed files. It acts on those changes, so it belongs with them — and it now appears only once there is something to commit, instead of waiting around in a session that has not touched a file.

Less noise, more of what you were reading
A long command no longer takes over the conversation, and the session list has stopped repeating itself. Both changes hand the screen back to the words that actually tell you what happened.
When an agent runs something in the terminal you already see the command and its output in the terminal panel inside the conversation. We were printing the command a second time just underneath, and a single long one could wrap into a dozen lines that pushed the steps on either side of it off the screen. That line is now kept to one line, with the whole command still there on hover.
The session list had the same problem in miniature. Every session carried a small tag naming the mode it was started in, and its name then began with that same word again. In a narrow sidebar that spent the widest part of the row saying nothing new, and cut off the words that tell one session apart from another. Both are gone, and sessions you already have lose the repeated word too.

Projects keep to themselves
Notes an agent writes for one project no longer show up while you are working on another. If you have several projects open, each one now has its own working notes and its own plan.
Goatfied lets an agent keep notes between turns so it does not lose the thread of a long piece of work. Those working notes were being shared across every project you had open, so an agent could open a plan belonging to something else entirely and try to work from it.
Working notes are now separate per project, as durable project notes already were. Notes you had before are still there and have been filed under the project they were written for, so a plan you left half-finished is waiting where you expect it.
One thing stays shared on purpose: your own preferences. Anything you have told an agent about how you like to work is meant to follow you between projects, and still does.
- Separate working notes — Each project has its own notes and its own plan, with no overlap.
- Nothing lost — Existing notes were moved to the project they belong to, not deleted.
- Preferences still follow you — How you like an agent to work stays shared across every project.

Gmail, Drive and Calendar
Goatfied can now work across your Google Workspace, so an agent can read a thread, find a document or move a meeting without you leaving the app to go and look it up.
Five connections are available from the marketplace: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Chat and Google Contacts. Each one is separate, so you can connect your calendar without giving anything access to your mail.
Signing in happens on your own machine and the connection stays there. You can disconnect from inside Goatfied at any time, or revoke it from your Google account page alongside every other app you have ever signed in to.
- Gmail — Search and read mail, draft and send replies, and file threads under labels.
- Drive — Search your files, read them as context, and save work back out.
- Calendar — Read your schedule, create and move events, and find a free slot.
- Chat — Catch up on a space and post back into it.
- Contacts — Look up the people you work with, so names resolve to the right address.
Connecting one
- Open Customizations and choose Browse Marketplace.
- Search for the Google app you want and install it.
- Click Sign in. Your browser opens, you approve the access, and the connection is ready.
- Ask an agent for something that needs it — it will use the connection on its own from then on.

A server that fails now tells you why
When a connection could not be made, every failure looked the same and none of them looked fixable. The reason is now written out in plain words on the row itself.
The underlying reason was always being sent back to us — it was just buried inside a raw reply that we showed as-is, or dropped entirely. Now the row says what the other end objected to, so you can tell an expired sign-in apart from a server that is refusing you outright.
The rest of the row survived the change: long error text is kept to one line with the full text on hover, rather than pushing the buttons off the edge of the panel.
