Projects keep to themselves

Notes an agent writes for one project no longer show up while you are working on another. If you have several projects open, each one now has its own working notes and its own plan.

Goatfied lets an agent keep notes between turns so it does not lose the thread of a long piece of work. Those working notes were being shared across every project you had open, so an agent could open a plan belonging to something else entirely and try to work from it.

Working notes are now separate per project, as durable project notes already were. Notes you had before are still there and have been filed under the project they were written for, so a plan you left half-finished is waiting where you expect it.

One thing stays shared on purpose: your own preferences. Anything you have told an agent about how you like to work is meant to follow you between projects, and still does.

Gmail, Drive and Calendar

Goatfied can now work across your Google Workspace, so an agent can read a thread, find a document or move a meeting without you leaving the app to go and look it up.

Five connections are available from the marketplace: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Chat and Google Contacts. Each one is separate, so you can connect your calendar without giving anything access to your mail.

Signing in happens on your own machine and the connection stays there. You can disconnect from inside Goatfied at any time, or revoke it from your Google account page alongside every other app you have ever signed in to.

• Gmail — Search and read mail, draft and send replies, and file threads under labels.
• Drive — Search your files, read them as context, and save work back out.
• Calendar — Read your schedule, create and move events, and find a free slot.
• Chat — Catch up on a space and post back into it.
• Contacts — Look up the people you work with, so names resolve to the right address.

A server that fails now tells you why

When a connection could not be made, every failure looked the same and none of them looked fixable. The reason is now written out in plain words on the row itself.

The underlying reason was always being sent back to us — it was just buried inside a raw reply that we showed as-is, or dropped entirely. Now the row says what the other end objected to, so you can tell an expired sign-in apart from a server that is refusing you outright.

The rest of the row survived the change: long error text is kept to one line with the full text on hover, rather than pushing the buttons off the edge of the panel.

Watch the agent think

The reasoning an agent does before it acts — the options it weighs and the plan it settles on — now streams into the timeline as it happens.

That thinking was always being produced, and we were throwing all of it away. Seeing it changes how you work with an agent: you can tell early on that it has misread the task, and stop it, instead of waiting for a wrong answer to arrive.

It works across every model that thinks, not just one family. Choosing the highest thinking settings used to quietly turn thinking off on some models and fail outright on others, because they never understood the words we were sending them.

The reasoning also stays put long enough to read. It used to hide itself the moment the agent took its next step, so in practice you never finished a thought. It now folds away once the answer starts, and you can pin it open either way.

Connecting a tool takes one click

Installing something that needs an account now takes you straight to its sign-in page, instead of leaving you to discover that nothing happened.

Most connections no longer ask you for anything at all — no keys to create, no identifiers to copy back and forth. For the few providers that still insist on it, the form tells you exactly what to paste and where to get it, and Figma and others like it can be connected again rather than stopping at a refusal.

Sign-ins are kept wherever your computer already keeps its passwords, rather than in a file. Permission requests now come from the app asking rather than from everything the other end is willing to offer, so you are only shown what Goatfied actually uses — signing in to Slack no longer asks to search your messages.
