Two tiers
- GOAT-2 Composer — the higher-reasoning tier for multi-step agent work and large refactors.
- GOAT-2 Fast — a lower-latency tier for quick iterations where speed matters more than depth.
When to use it
Reach for GOAT-2 on long, tool-heavy agent runs. For everyday Chat and Composer, Goat Frontier is the default.
Reliability
GOAT-2 falls back to a frontier Claude/GPT model if it’s temporarily unavailable, so agent runs keep moving. See Models & pricing for routing details.
